Drowning, Dead, and Delivered
Drowning, Dead, and Delivered 🌊⚰️➡️⛵
A true religion must get one thing right—forgiveness of sins. Any theology that is all about "human dignity and welfare" without properly addressing sin is like a car with no engine—looks good, goes nowhere. 🚗💨
Cue the waterworks. 💔
We’ve all heard that feel-good analogy: "Imagine a man drowning. Jesus extends His hand. The man, struggling but still conscious, chooses to grab it, and voilà—salvation!"
Sounds noble, right? Well, let’s be real—that’s not the Gospel. Let’s upgrade this analogy to actual Christian doctrine. 🎭
Not Drowning—DEAD ☠️
The truth? That man isn’t drowning. He’s dead in the water. Cold. Lifeless. Absolutely incapable of grabbing anything. 💀 Thousands of hands reach up from the abyss, voices calling out:
👉 "Come with us! Be enlightened with Buddha!"
👉 "Bow to the Bishop of Rome!"
👉 "Just relax—you’re not even drowning!"
But then, all these voices merge into a terrifying, unified whisper:
🕷️ "What does it matter. We are legion… we are one…"
Before the darkness swallows him, a ship cuts through the night. A voice thunders from above:
⛵ "THIS ONE IS MINE! LEAVE HIM!"
Screeches of terror fill the air. The shadowy figures retreat into the deep. Jesus reaches down, pulls the lifeless man from the water, and commands:
"LIVE!"
And instantly—lungs fill with air, eyes open, and the man finds himself in the arms of his Savior. Salvation is not man choosing God—it’s God resurrecting the dead. 🕊️
You Didn’t Choose Christ—He Chose You 🎯
You were dead. Spiritually rotting. Shackled by sin. But Jesus rescued you, not because you raised your hand in a revival meeting, but because He decided to save you. ✝️
A Christianity that doesn’t acknowledge this isn’t Christianity at all. It’s just another moral improvement program with a little Jesus sprinkled on top. 🚫💊
Sin: The Betrayal that Hurts the Most 💔
If someone saves your life and brings you into His home, how would you treat Him? Would you rob Him? Attack His family? Lie to His face? 😤
Yet, every time we sin, that’s exactly what we do to Christ. This is why Peter wept bitterly after denying Jesus. Even Judas—totally reprobate—was so crushed by guilt he hanged himself. Sin is serious. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand salvation. 🚨
But here’s the good news:
Jesus Saves COMPLETELY—Not Halfway 🛡️
We betray our Savior daily. But He continues to save us. The Bible says He saves "to the uttermost" (Hebrews 7:25). Every time we fail, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us (1 John 1:9).
👉 FAITHFUL—because He never breaks His word. 👉 JUST—because Christ’s sacrifice was enough.
Forgiveness isn’t based on how sorry we feel. It’s based on God’s integrity and Christ’s righteousness. If God has forgiven you in Christ, you’re forgiven. Period. ✅
No Christ? No Forgiveness. Be Very Afraid. 🔥
But let’s flip this coin. The same God who guarantees forgiveness to His people also guarantees judgment to those outside of Christ. If you reject Christ, there is no rescue. There is only wrath. 🚨
His faithfulness guarantees salvation to His own—but it also guarantees damnation for those who refuse Him. A God who forgives must also be a God who condemns. You can’t have one without the other.
Final Call—Confess & Cling to Christ 🙏
Think deeply on the goodness of Christ. Think on His sacrifice. Then do what He commands:
Confess Christ as Lord. Repent of your sins. Rely on Christ alone.
And when you do—BOOM—immunity from accusation, confidence in your faith, and boldness in your service. 💥🔥
Now that is real salvation. Dead men made alive. ⚰️➡️🕊️
